Obituary for Francis Joseph "Frank" McCormick
Francis Joseph “Frank” McCormick, 83 of Clifton, passed away on Friday August 5, 2022.
Born in Newark, he was the son of the late Francis and Barbara (McHugh) McCormick and following the untimely passing of both Francis and Barbara, Frank was lovingly raised from infancy by Roderick and Edith Grant. Frank lived in Belleville before coming to Clifton in 1991 and was a clerk with the U.S. Postal Service in Newark before retiring. He was a proud U.S. Navy veteran serving as a Radarman 2nd Class aboard the destroyer escort, USS Murray (DDE-576). He was a member of the Tin Can Sailors Association and the Nutley Little Theatre.
Frank is survived by his wife, Linda (Kohrs), his son, Thomas and wife, Lilian and his daughter, Patricia McCormick.
Visitors will be received at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St. Nutley on Tuesday August 9 from 5-8 pm.
The committal and military honors will be on Wednesday at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus,
at 11:30am
