Obituary for Gennaro P. Racioppi

Gennaro P. Racioppi, 90, of Nutley, passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2019. Born in Belleville, the son of Antonio and Carmela (Basile) Racioppi, he lived in Belleville prior to moving to Nutley over 60 years ago.
Gennaro retired as a supervisor from I.T.&T in Clifton and previously worked for Western Electric. In his spare time he worked as a barber, he was a founding member of the Cyclepaths Motorcycle Club as well as a founding member of Cinco Forte. He was a proud Air Force Veteran the post-World War II era.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Carmen (Aspiazu) Racioppi; his step-daughter, Rosa Corneilo and his grandchildren, Eddie and Alexis Corneilo. Along with his parents, Gennaro was predeceased by his brother, Pasquale.

The funeral will be Friday at 8:30 a.m. from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St., Nutley.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church in Nutley at 9:30 a.m.

The interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Lyndhurst.

Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 5-8 p.m.
