Obituary for Giselda D'Alessio (D'Alessandro)

Giselda D'Alessio (D'Alessandro), 91 of Nutley, NJ passed away peacefully on
Thursday, August 19, 2021, surrounded by family. She lived a full life filled with love,
laughter, and family. She was born in Campagna, Salerno, Italy to Vita (Macedonia) and Vincenzo D'Alessandro.

Giselda married the love of her life, Italo D'Alessio and they were fortunate enough to
celebrate 75 years of a beautiful marriage together. She worked as a talented dress
maker at D'Alessio's Tailor Shop in Nutley, NJ until 2000.

Giselda lived her life with love, kindness, and a passion that touched all who knew her.
Family was everything to Gisleda and this summer she was fortunate to become a great
great grandmother.

Giselda was an amazing cook and she prayed for her family and friends daily. Her laugh
was contagious, and she was known for the comfort she gave to all those around
her. She was gracious and humble. Her beautiful spirit will live on in heaven where she
is now holding hands again with her soulmate.

She was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, great grandmother, great
great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.

She is preceded by her parents Vincenzo and Vita D'Alessandro, her husband Italo, and
her sisters Titina, Ninnella, Nellina.

She is survived by her son Carmine D'Alessio and his wife Filomena D'Alessio; her
daughter Nevicella Palladino and her husband Ottavio Palladino, her son Divino
D'Alessio and his wife Donna D'Alessio; her grandchildren: Italo, Giselda, Vincenzo,
Dina, Donna, Daniella, and Divino Junior; her great-grandchildren: Carmine, Alfonso,
Divino, Gerardo, Alessia, Carmine, Vio, Dante, Adrianna, Lucca, Avalina, Mariella,
Jacob, Christopher, and Rocco; and her great great grandson Luca (five generations).

Visiting will be on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, (www.swbrownandson.com), 267 Centre St., Nutley from 9-10:30am

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Lucy’s Church, 118 7th Street, Newark, NJ on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at 11:00am.

The entombment will follow at Glendale Cemetery, 28 Hoover Avenue, Bloomfield, NJ.
