Grace DeMatteo, 83 of Maineville, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2019. Born in Hoboken, the daughter of Angelo and Aida (Spagnoletti) DeNardo, she lived in Jersey City, Little Ferry and Princeton Junction prior to moving to Ohio 2 months ago.
The beloved wife of the late Anthony DeMatteo, Grace is survived by her daughter, Angela DeMatteo Sitek and her husband, Mark; her son, Ernest DeMatteo and his wife, Michele; 8 grandchildren, Christopher, Breanna, Alyssa, and Tonianne DeMatteo, Anthony Sitek and his wife, HaleyRose, Mark Nicholas, Anjelica and Dominic Sitek and her great-grandchildren, Aiden and Pierson Sitek. Along with her parents, Grace was predeceased by her brother, Dominick L. DeNardo and a sister.
The funeral will be Friday at 9:45 a.m. from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St., Nutley.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church in Nutley at 10:45 a.m.
The entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in No. Arlington.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital https://giving.cincinnatichildrens.org/SSLPage.aspx?pid=184 would be preferred.
