Gretta Onove (nee Knott), 89 years old, was called to glory on March 6, 2021. Gretta was born in Newark, NJ and later moved to Bloomfield, NJ. After her children were grown, she worked as a customer service representative at the Mouli Mfg. Co. in Belleville, NJ for 29 years.
Gretta was very active serving her Lord, Jesus Christ, at the Church of Our Saviour in Newark, NJ. She taught Sunday School and served as an Elder, Deacon and Trustee. Her life was defined by her selfless generosity and random acts of kindness toward others. She had a heart of gold and a boundless love and devotion to her family and friends.
She was the wife of Salvatore Onove for 64 years, beloved mother Daniel (Donna) and Barbara Onove, grandmother of Daniel II, Nicholas, Ryan, Tyler and Matthew. She was predeceased by her sister, Martha Poloski and brothers, Charles Wagner and George Knott.
Services will be private.
