Obituary for Jaime Montalvo

Jaime Montalvo, 86 of Bloomfield, passed away on Saturday March 5, 2022 at his home. Born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Ramon and Maria (Perez) Montalvo. Jaime lived in Newark before coming to Bloomfield 15 years ago and was a foreman with Keystone Folding Box Co. in Newark before retiring. He, along with his beloved wife, Magdalena, were parishioners of St. Michael’s Church in Newark and sang with the church choir. Jaime was predeceased by his wife, Magdalena (Hernandez) Montalvo in 2010. He is survived by his devoted children, Jaime Montalvo and wife, Gilda, Marlene Montalvo, Myra Soto and husband, Javier and Melvin Montalvo and his grandchildren, Francesca Witzburg, Jaime Michael Montalvo, Jeremy, Ian and Christian “C.J.” Soto and Michael and Max Montalvo. He also leaves his great grandchildren, Adam Martin, and Sage Aspen. Jaime was the dear brother of Ramon, Hiller, Lydia, Norberto, Miguel, Blanca and the late Ismael, Juan, Elin, and Nayda.

Funeral from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St. Nutley on Saturday March 12, 2022, at 9 am.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael’s Church, Newark at 10 am followed by burial at Holy Cross
Cemetery in North Arlington.

Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 5-8 pm.
