James Meddis of Nutley, passed away on Monday November 11, 2013 at his home. Born in Calabria, Italy, he lived in Newark before coming to Nutley 65 years ago. Mr. Meddis was a machinist with Atlas Sound Co. in Parsippany before retiring. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Lucy (Oliveri) Meddis, he is survived by his son, Michael A. Meddis, his daughter, Catherine D’Addario and his grandchildren, Justin and Cassandra. He also leaves his sister, Caterina Meddis.
Funeral from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home Nutley on Friday at 9:30 am. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church at 10:30 am followed by entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
Visiting at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.
