Jean Marie Christie, 82 of Nutley, passed away on Wednesday December 6, 2017. Born in Montclair, she was the daughter of the late John and Gladys (Adams) Cronin. Mrs. Christie moved to Nutley in 1973 and was a secretary with J. Crew in New York City before retiring. She was a graduate of the Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School and was a member of the St. Mary’s Church choir, the Nutley Irish American Club and the Stuart E. Edgar VFW Post 493 Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her beloved husband William, her children, Ellen Christie and Edward Christie and her grandchildren, Grace, William and Judith. She also leaves her brothers, John and Dennis Cronin.
Funeral from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St. Nutley on Monday December 11 at 8:30 am.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, Nutley at 9:30 am
The interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
Visiting will be on Sunday from 1-5 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
