Obituary for Jeannine Atzeri (Dell Amore)
Loving wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt:
Jeannine Atzeri (Giovanna Atzeri), 87 of Nutley passed away on April 18, 2021. Born in Joeuf, France, Jeannine and her husband Emmanuel, migrated to the United States and began their life and family in Newark, N.J. Shortly after the birth of their daughter Natalie, they settled in Nutley. The Atzeri’s opened and operated the Town and Country Delicatessen in 1968 and had a thriving business for more than 20 years. They were very proud of their contribution to their community, and were loved by their customers and neighbors. Jeannine was a member of the Golden Age Club, enjoyed playing bingo and gardening. She will be remembered for her shoe fetish, Jeannine leaves behind her loving and loyal daughter, Natalie Atzeri,(companion Carl Neumann), many nieces and nephews both here in the US and France, as well as extended family in Italy. She is predeceased by her loving husband Emmanuel, her siblings: brothers, Quinto, Amedeo; and sisters, Rose, Esperance and Leane.
Visitors will be received on Friday, April 23, 2021 from 4-6 pm at S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home (www.swbrownandson.com), 267 Centre St., Nutley, 07110.
Additional viewing will be held Saturday April 24, 2021, at 9:30am, at S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St., Nutley, 07110.
A Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church, Nutley on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 10:30 am, with entombment to immediately follow at Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum, 340 Ridge Road, N. Arlington, N.J., 07031.
It being a difficult time to gather, and for the safety of everyone, we request all in attendance wear face masks.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer’s Association.
