Obituary for Jerry F. Mattone
Loving Husband, Father, Brother, and Grandfather
Jerry F. Mattone, 86 of Holyoke, Massachusetts, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2020. Born in Newark, New Jersey, Jerry was the son of the late Benvenuto and Rose (Guarino) Mattone. He was a proud Marine Corps of the Korean War and retired as a materials inspector for PSE&G of Maplewood. He also attended Rutgers University.
The beloved husband of the late Eileen M. (Rossi) Mattone, Jerry is survived by his son, Matthew Mattone, and his daughter, Lauren Mattone and her wife, Deborah Jones; a sister, Geraldine Mattone; and 2 grandchildren, Kyle and Michael.
Along with his parents and his wife, Jerry was also predeceased by 3 sisters, Helen Roselle, Carmella "Millie" Pizzarelli and Lucy Leone.
The funeral will be on Saturday January 25, 2020 at 8:30am from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St., Nutley.
The Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church in Nutley at 9:30am.
The interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home from Friday 4-8pm.
