Jesus Rolando Gil, 61, of Newark, NJ passed away on February 7, 2022. Affectionately known as “Roly”, he was born in Regla, Cuba, he lived in Miami prior to moving to Newark. Jesus was the son of the late Rolando and Zulma (Cancio) Gil. He retired as a dry-cleaning spotter with Elegant Cleaners in Orange. Jesus was predeceased by his brother-in-law Pablo Cabrera and his father-in-law Pablo D. Cabrera. He is survived by his loving wife Helen (Cabrera) Gil, (mother-in-law) Rita O. Cabrera, and three children: Damian J. Gil and wife Ryaan, Samantha C. LeMay and husband David, Natalie M. Gil, & sister Amaris I. Gil, sister-in-law Joann Cabrera, 6 grandchildren (David, Dylan, Damian, Madison, Liam, and Quinn) and finally a host of nieces and nephews (Carlos, Giovanni, Adiris, Andres, Danellis).
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Friday, February 11, 2022, from 4-7pm.
Cremation will be private.
