Obituary for Joanne Yasneski

Joanne Yasneski passed away at her home in Belleville, NJ, on Tuesday October 19, 2020. She was born in Greenfield, Massachusetts on September 14, 1938. She loved the cool, brisk weather of her childhood town, and loved to watch the leaves turn. She passed during her favorite season of the year at 82 years of age.

Joanne will be deeply missed and mourned by her two loving sons, Anthony Yasneski and his wife Sandra, Joseph Yasneski and his wife Kim; her brother Joseph Sini and his wife Corinne; her grandchildren Anthony Yasneski and his wife Lollion, Alexander Yasneski and his partner Jessica Young, and Stephen Martins-Yasneski and his wife Sofia; her great-grandson Aidan Martins-Yasneski; and her many cherished friends and neighbors from Belleville and Trails End, Pennsylvania.

Joanne joins at rest her devoted and adoring husband, Felix Yasneski; her parents Mary and Joseph Sini; and her brother John Sini.

For many years, Joanne was a nurse at Overbrook Hospital in Cedar Grove, NJ, where she cared for the elderly. Her desire to watch over and protect people never left her, and after her retirement, she worked as a crossing guard in Belleville, NJ until 2007. Joanne loved treasure hunting for arts and crafts, word search puzzles, and above all, her family and friends.

The cremation and burial of Joanneā€™s ashes, with her late husband Felix will take place at Glendale cemetery and will be private.

Visitors will be received from the funeral home S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, (www.swbrownandson.com), 267 Centre St., Nutley, on Friday, October 23, 2020 from 5-8pm.
