John A. Bowie, 82 of Belleville, passed away on Saturday January 16, 2021. Born in Newark, he was the son of the late John and Jean (Mayo) Bowie. John came to Belleville in 1968 and was a sheet metal engineer with Nedco Corp. in Union, NJ before retiring. He was a proud U.S. Air Force veteran and was an avid fisherman and bowler. John is survived by his beloved wife, Dolores C. (Carter) Bowie, his daughter, Monique (Bowie) Bosrock and was predeceased by his daughter, Sherri Bowie. He also leaves his granddaughters Isabella, Juliana and Alexandra Bosrock and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. John was the dear brother of Joan Robinson and the late Kenny, Patrick and Steven.

Relatives and friends will be received at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St. Nutley on Thursday January 28 from 4-6 pm.

A Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home at 5:30 pm.
