John A. Colamarco, 97 of Nutley, passed away on Friday October 5, 2018. Born in Newark, he was the son of the late Diego and Pasqualina (Garafolo) Colamarco. Mr. Colamarco lived in Irvington before coming to Nutley in 1980 and was the manager of inspectors with Plessey Dynamics Inc. in Hillside before retiring. John was past Grand Knight of Bishop Wigger Council Knights of Columbus in Maplewood and was a member of the St. Mary’s Church Knights of Columbus in Nutley. He was also a former usher and bingo worker at St. Mary’s and volunteered at Good Shepherd Academy in Nutley. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving with the Signal Corps during the Rhineland campaign.
The beloved husband of the late, Angela (Raffa) Colamarco, his is survived by his loving daughters, Rita Donovan and Judy Powlowski; his granddaughters, Elizabeth Ayala and her husband, Derek and his brother-in-law, Rosario Raffa. He was also predeceased by his sisters, Jean Colamarco and Philomena Galindo.
Funeral from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St. Nutley on Friday October 12, 2018 at 8:30 a.m.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, Nutley at 9:30 am followed by entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.

Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-8 pm.
