John Anderson Driscoll, 95 of Belleville, passed away on Friday February 4, 2022. Born in Queens, New York, he was the son of the late Daniel and Mary Jane (nee Anderson) Driscoll. A graduate of New York University, he lived in Queens Village, New York before coming to Belleville 50 years ago and was an insurance executive with Chubb & Son Insurance Corp. in Short Hills before retiring. John was a proud Marine Corps veteran, serving in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam, finally leaving service at the rank of Colonel. He was also an active and devout member of the Fewsmith Memorial Presbyterian Church in Belleville and the Belleville Masonic Lodge, where he had held several offices.
John is survived by his beloved wife, Charlotte (Hommel) Driscoll, his sons, John Driscoll and Daniel Driscoll and his wife, Cyndee, his grandson, Justin and great granddaughters, Emma, and Nola. He was also the dear brother of the late Daniel Driscoll.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday February 14, 2022, at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home at 10 am followed by burial at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 1-4 pm.
