John G. Freda, of Belleville, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2016. Born in Detroit, MI, he has lived in Belleville for many years. John retired from the Maintenance Department of the Newark Housing Authority. He was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War.
The beloved son of the late Effie (Brodie) & Joseph Freda, brother of the late, Alfred “Puffy” & Joseph Freda, Jr., and brother-in-law of the late Nancy Freda, he is survived by his sister-in-law, Esther Freda; his nieces & nephews, Joseph Freda, Karen Columbo, Steven Freda, Laura De Brock, James and Craig Freda and many grandnieces and grandnephews.
The funeral service will begin at 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 12th at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 2 p.m. until service time.
The cremation will be private.
