John W. Gorman. Jr.

“Johnny” was born Dec 7th, 1961. He grew up with his Beech and Cedar St crew, with Danny still great friends today. John had an amazing talent and prowess for golf at an early age, going on the win many awards, including becoming both the MGA Junior and Boys Medalist simultaneously in 1975 and Champion of the Nutley Town Tournament as a high school junior in 1978, as well as anchoring the Nutley High golf team. John lived in Arizona in the 80’s and 90’s, including time as a golf pro, before returning to NJ and beginning his career as a pool designer and salesman at Olympic Pools in Saddle Brook for the last 25 years.

John is survived by his wife Loretta and step-daughters Amy and Jaclyn and their daughters Katherine, Sadie and Ariana; his brother Bill “Doc” Giglio and a sister Reanne Mauriello (Giglio) and her husband Phil; his sisters-in-law Cathy Giglio and Joyce Giglio, along with his cousins Celeste, Rich, Lorraine and Joe, Marianne and Edward. “Uncle John” also leaves behind nieces Jodi Demaio, Jaimee Grella, Joy Miller and Sara and nephews Paul, Chris and his wife, Kara, and Matt Giglio, as well as Phillip Mauriello along with 9 grand-nieces and grand-nephews, whose exploits John kept up on. He was predeceased by his Dad, John W. “Jack” Gorman and his Mother Rita E. (Rocca) Gorman and well as his beloved brother Paul.

John will be remembered for his huge heart, loving and sincere soul and great personality.

The funeral will be Wednesday, April 24, 2019. at 9 a.m. from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home 267 Centre St., Nutley.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Bloomfield at 10 a.m.

The interment will follow at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield

Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m.
