Loving Husband, Father and Grandfather
John M. Tischio, 90 of Nutley, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2020. Born in Newark, to the late John and Maria Donata (Biase) Tischio. He lived in Newark and East Orange before moving to Nutley 50 years ago. Prior to his retirement he worked as Carpet Installer for William R. Bellis in Bloomfield. John also was a long-time usher at Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
The beloved husband of the late Mary Ann (Valenza) Tischio, he is survived by his loving children, Debra Bereski and her husband Mike, Robert Tischio and his wife Patricia and his grandchildren Gabrielle Bereski, Michael Bereski and Matthew and Krysta Tischio. He was predeceased by his brothers Anthony, Michael and Joseph Tischio and his sisters Josephine Campagna, Rosalie Minutoli, Pauline Campagna, Lorraine DiNorcia and Rose Marmo.
The funeral will be Monday, January 27, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, (www.swbrownandson.com), 267 Centre St., Nutley.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Nutley.
The interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-5 p.m.
