Obituary for Joseph C. Pellegrino

Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather & Great-Grandfather

Joseph C. Pellegrino, 92 of Nutley, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2019. Born in 1927, the son of Vincent and Filomena (Azzolino) Pellegrino he was a resident of Nutley for most of his life.
Prior to his retirement, he was the owner of Jopell Home Improvement in Nutley, NJ. He was an Army Veteran of World War II and an active communicant at Holy Family Church he was also a former Eucharistic Minister and Usher.

The beloved husband of the late Rose C. (Boccarossa) Pellegrino, he is survived by his children, Agnes Santore and her husband, Donald, Phyllis Franco and her husband, Sal, Joanne Fucetola, Lucy DeRiggi and her husband, Robert, Martha Mastandrea and her husband, Andy and Joseph Pellegrino; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and 4 step-grandchildren.
Along with his parents and his wife, Joe was predeceased by his daughter, Mary Rose Ferruggia.


The funeral will be Thursday at 9:30 a.m. from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home 267 Centre St., Nutley.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church in Nutley at 10:30 a.m.

The entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in No. Arlington.

Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m.
