Joseph A. Dwyer Sr., 84, of Nutley, passed away on March 17, 2022. Born in Elizabeth, he resided in Nutley for 62 years. Joseph was the son of the late Jerome and Dorothy (Kaufmann) Dwyer. He retired as Director of Construction and Labor Relations for NJ Bell, he was a proud Veteran of the US Army, and was a bus driver for the Nutley Board of Education for many years. Joseph was predeceased by his brothers John and Jerome Dwyer. He is survived by his loving wife, Dolores (Christopher) Dwyer, his son Joseph A. Dwyer, Jr., and his wife Geralynn, his brother Roy Dwyer, his sister Mary Schardien, his grandchildren Joseph A. III, and his wife Lora, Jenna Maria Rubino, and her husband Stephen, and his great grandchildren Charlotte Lynn Dwyer, Ryan Joseph Dwyer, and Alessia Shea Rubino.

The funeral will be Tuesday at 9:30am from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St., Nutley.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church at 10:30am.

The entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.

Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Monday, March 21, from 3-7pm.
