Joseph Anthony Ferraro, 81 of Toms River, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2020. Born in Passaic, Joseph was the son of the late Joseph and Rosina (Verricho) Ferraro, and lived in Nutley and Cedar Grove before moving to Toms River 2 years ago. He was a veteran of the United States Army Airforce. He was the owner of Fruit Hut in Cranford.
Joseph is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Barbara (Provett) Ferraro; his children, Deborah Ferraro, Sharon Overton and her husband Michael, and Joseph Anthony Jr. and Marion Mernick; his brothers, James and Michael Ferraro, a sister, Susan Washelski; and 2 grandchildren, Michael and Sarah Overton. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Robert Ferraro.
Visitors will be received from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, (www.swbrownandson.com), 267 Centre St., Nutley on Saturday, December 19th from 11am-1pm.
The interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
