Joseph La Riccia, 87 of Belevidere, passed away Monday, December 14, 2020. Born in Castelnuovo Di Conza, Salerno, Italy, Joseph was the son of the late Maria (Custoda) and Giovanni La Riccia. He retired as a machinist for Apex Gear in Newark.

Joseph is survived by his beloved wife, Loretta (Porreca) La Riccia; his children, Marie La Riccia Green and her husband Gerald, and John Michael La Riccia and his wife Sonia; sister-in-laws and brother-in-law, Maria La Riccia, Filomena Caruso, and Joseph Poreco; nieces and nephews, John La Riccia, Annamarie La Riccia, Rosalie Tortoriello, Tania Caruso and Vincent Caruso; and 4 grandchildren, Joseph Green, Michael Green, Lianna La Riccia, and Jenna La Riccia.


The funeral will be Monday, December 21st at 11am from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, (www.swbrownandson.com), 267 Centre St., Nutley.

The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Lucy’s Church in Newark at 12noon.

The entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.

Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Sunday, December 20th from 1-4pm for a walk through visitation.
