Joseph “Joey” Valvano, of Ocean Gate, passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2018. Born in Newark, the son of Christine (Cesh) and the late John G. Valvano, he lived in Belleville prior to moving to Ocean Gate 7 years ago.
Joey retired from Deluxe Check Printers in Clifton as a manager.
He is survived by his mother Christine, 2 sisters, Christy Bradley and Maryann Silvestri and her husband, Sal and his brother, John Valvano and his wife, Maria. He is also the uncle of Salvatore and Samantha Silvestri, Casey and Jamie Bradley, Angelica and Brianna Valvano, and Michael, Nicolas and Matthew Cardona.

The funeral will be held on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home 267 Centre St., Nutley.

The interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in No. Arlington.

Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time.
