Julio A. Carrera, 94 of Manchester and formerly of Nutley, passed away on Thursday October 21, 2021. Born in Quito, Ecuador, South America, he was the son of the late Antonio Daniel and Enriqueta (Perez) Carrera. He came to the United States in 1957 and worked for Plessey Airborne Corp in Hillside, NJ and then worked for Ragen Corporation in North Arlington, NJ before retiring from his duties as Quality Control Inspector and Supervisor on the night shift. He was a resident of Nutley, NJ before moving to Ocean County after the death of his beloved wife, Christina (Romero) Carrera. Julio is survived by his loving children, Gladys Lepore, Julia Carrera, Rene, Larry and David Carrera. He also leaves his grandchildren, Deserai, Christopher, Daniel, Theresa, Julia, Johnny, Christina and Alina and 9 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends will be received on Saturday November 6 at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St. from 9:30-11Am. A Funeral Service will be conducted at the funeral home at 11:00 am followed by burial at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield.
