Kenneth J. Lauer, 78 of Bloomfield, passed away on Tuesday June 13, 2023. Born in Liverpool, England, he was the son of the late Wilber “Bill” and Nora (nee Whelan) Lauer. Ken was raised in Irvington and had lived in Bloomfield for 49 years. He was a pressman at the Star Ledger in Newark before retiring and was proud U.S. Army veteran serving as a medical corpsman. He was also an active parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle Church and past-Grand Knight of the Bloomfield Knights of Columbus Council.
Ken is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia (nee Casta) Lauer, his son, David K. Lauer and his daughter Kelly Lauer. He also leaves his brother, Robert Lauer and wife, Dawn and his nephew Ryan.

Visitors will be received at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St. Nutley on Thursday June 15 from 4-8 pm.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Bloomfield on Friday June 16 at 11 am followed by burial at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Montclair.
