Loving Husband, Father, Brother and Grandfather
Kevin J. Mauro, 65, of Nutley, passed away on February 4, 2023. Born in Morristown, he was raised in Florham Park prior to moving to Nutley 30 years ago. Kevin was the son of John and Mary (Jasontek) Mauro. He was a route salesman with Blue Triton Brands, Inc., out of Carlstadt, NJ for over 33 years. Kevin was a longtime member of the St. Mary’s Knights of Columbus and a Eucharistic Minister at St. Mary’s Church. Kevin is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Joan (Beyer) Mauro; children, Andrew DeCotiis-Mauro and his wife Jennifer, Elisabeth Mauro and her husband Santiago Lopez, Katharine Mauro and her husband Jesse Hynes, and Joseph Mauro; his brothers Robert, Patrick, and Wayne, sister Darlene Woelkers; his grandchildren Alexander, Henry and Santiago, Jr.; his mother-in-law, Kathleen Beyer; and his dogs, Lola and Poppy. He is preceded in death by his father, John Mauro, Sr., his mother, Mary (Jasontek) Mauro, his brother, John Mauro, Jr., and his father-in-law, O. Allen Beyer.
Kevin was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather, and in-law. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
The funeral will be on Friday, February 10, 2023, at 9:30am from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, (www.swbrownandson.com), 267 Centre St., Nutley.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, 17 Monsignor Owens Place, Nutley at 10:30am.
The interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Montclair.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Thursday, February 9, 2023, from 4-8pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Nutley Family Service Bureau or the St. Mary’s Restoration Fund.
