Obituary for Lawrence H. D'Auria
Loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather
Lawrence H. D’Auria, 87 of Nutley, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2020. Born in Bronx, New York, Lawrence lived in Belleville and Kearny prior to moving to Nutley 17 years ago. He was the son of the late Frank and Theodora (Offer) D’Auria, and retired from the U.S. Postal Service in Newark from the maintenance department. A proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, he was a member of the VFW #493 of Nutley and Nutley Old guard. Lawrence was a big animal lover and loved his furry friends, Roxi, Shadow, Bella Donna, and especially Bella, who was always by his side.
The beloved husband of the late Angelina (Smaldone) D’Auria; Lawrence is survived by his daughter, Dina Vaccarellli, and his grandchildren, Peter Lepore, Mark Lepore, and Nicholas Vaccarelli.
The funeral will be at 9am on Friday, January 17, 2020 from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, (www.swbrownandson.com), 267 Centre St., Nutley.
The Funeral mass will be celebrated at St Lucy’s Church in Newark at 10am.
The entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Cemetery in Union.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-8pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions will be accepted at the funeral home.
