Leonard F. Astone, of Nutley, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2018. Born in Brooklyn, the son of the late Genevieve & Arthur Astone, he has lived in Nutley for over 20 years. He is survived by his sister, Bonnie O’Connor and his brother, Arthur Astone & his wife, Ruth; and a brother, Phillip Schneider & his wife, Laura. He is also survived by his best and faithful friends, Vincent & Frank Carotenuto, Lana Patuto, Chris Pignataro & Tony & Penny Buccafuri. Leonard was the store manager at Sally Beauty Supply in Hackensack, a former dance instructor at Dale Dance Studio in Newark and a hairdresser at Saks and Lord & Taylor.
The funeral will be Friday at 8:30 a.m. from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home 267 Centre St., Nutley.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church in Nutley at 9:30 a.m.
The interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Montclair.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-8 p.m.
