Obituary for Louis Zarro

Louis Zarro of Belleville passed away on Thursday March 15, 2018 at his home. Born in Newark, he was the son of the late Anthony and Josephine (Zappone) Zarro. Louie lived in Belleville most of his life and was a silkscreen printer with Permanent Label Inc. in Bloomfield before retiring. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, serving with the 509th Combat Support Group, Strategic Air Command and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal the Vietnam Service Medal with 3 bronze battle stars. He was also an avid N.Y. Giants fan. Louis is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Lee (Cummings) Zarro, his son, Louis, Jr. and fiancée, Deana Panico, his daughter, Tina Zarro and her husband, Michael Spiridigliozzi, his loving grandchildren, Alexandra and Giovanna and his grands, Joshua, Joel, Sophia, Vienna, Savannah and Vincent. He also leaves his brother, Richard Zarro, his sister, Deb Smythe and was predeceased by his twin brother, Anthony and his brother, Ralph.
Relatives and friends will be received at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St. Nutley Sunday March 18 from 2-5 pm. A Funeral Service will be conducted at the on Monday March 19 at 11 am. Cremation will be private.
