Obituary for Lucy May Pascale (Geary)

Lucy May Pascale, 87 of Belleville, passed away on Monday April 13, 2020. Born in Passaic, she was the daughter of the late John Jacob and Eliza Jane (Veech) Geary. Mrs. Pascale lived in Passaic before coming to Belleville in 1958. Lucy was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church of Passaic, serving on the Hospitality Committee and visiting the sick and homebound throughout her lifetime.
Lucy will always be remembered as the heart of her family. No matter the situation, she kept her strong faith and humor as the backdrop of her life. Her family was everything to her, and while her love was immeasurable, the “Lucy look”would come out if we needed some guidance. She was a woman that despite the bumps along her medical road, was always “100 percent”. She will be missed that, plus so much more. Her message of “I love you more than you will ever know” will be etched in our hearts forever.
Lucy is survived by her beloved husband, of 65 years, Joseph V. Pascale. Her true north. He was there for her every step of the way, never wavering. He walked her home on their first date, he walked her home on her last earthly night. Also surviving are her children, Joseph John Pascale, Jane Marie Pascale and Andrew Richard Pascale and wife, Terry. She was also the loving grandmother of Josh, Jeremy, Kailey, Jessica, Sarah, Stephanie, Jacqueline, Andrew and the late Ryan and was the dear sister of the late Andrew, John and Charles Geary and sister-in-law of Richard Pascale.
No one in Christ says goodbye for the last time. So we will say, as Lucy taught us, “love you more than you will ever know, and we’ll see you later”.
Services for Lucy and burial at East Ridgelawn Cemetery in Clifton will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the VNA of New Jersey Hospice (www.vnannj.org) or to Methodist Homes (www.umcommunities.org).
