Loving Husband, Father, Brother, and Grandfather
Luigi Tafuri 90, of Belleville passed away Wednesday January 6, 2021. Born in Italy, he resided in Belleville since 1973. Luigi was the son of the late Raffaele and Marie Antonia (Fiorilla) Tafuri. Luigi retired as a food preparer/retail clerk at Celentano Brothers in Verona, NJ. Luigi served in the Army in Italy and was a member of the Branch Brook Park Seniors.
The beloved husband of the late Angela (Paccione) Tafuri, Luigi is survived by his sons Luigi Jr. and his wife Marisa, Domenico and his wife Marian, his brother Vincenzo, sisters Grazia, Mariantonia and Maria. He also leaves behind five grandchildren, Luciano, Dominic, Lorenzo, Cristina, and Matthew He was predeceased by his brother Alfonso and sister Lilina.
There will be a Funeral Mass at Holy Family Church, Nutley, NJ at 10:30 am Friday January 8th, 2021 followed by entombment at Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield, NJ will be private.
There will be no prior visitation.
