Luisa Sessa, 87, of Belleville passed away Saturday, January 30, 2021. Born in Sarno, Italy, Luisa was the daughter of the late Giovanni and Amelia (Salerno) Prisco. She retired as a clerk for Plaza Bakery in Belleville.
The beloved wife of the late Anthony D. Sessa Sr., Luisa is survived by her children, Alphonse Sessa and his wife Allison, Maria Nardone and her husband Nicholas, and Anthony Sessa Jr. and his wife Rea; brothers Emilio and Domenico Prisco, predeceased by her sister Geltrude Cioffi; 4 grandchildren Anthony, Angela, Anthony J., and Adrianna; and 2 great-grandchildren Lyla and Anthony Thomas.
Visitors will be received at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, (www.swbrownandson.com), 267 Centre St., Nutley for a walk-through visitation on Thursday, February 4th from 9-11am.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Nutley at 11:30am.
The interment will follow at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield.
