Lydia E. Cruz, 79 of Nutley, passed away on Wednesday August 12, 2020 at her home. Born in Barranquitas, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Mateo and Rafaela Rosado Nuñez. A devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Lydia is survived by her beloved husband, Adolfo A. Cruz, her children, Wilfred Cruz and wife, Felicia, Edgar Cruz and wife, Patricia, Lisette Teixeira and husband, Anthony, Danny Cruz and wife, Andrea. She also leaves her 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Anthony Cruz, her daughter, Belinda Cruz, 1 grandchild and 2 great grandchildren. Lydia was the dear sister of Chloe Perez, Zeneida Nuñez and Nilsa Gandolf.

There will be a graveside service held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, August 17 at Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Road in North Arlington. For immediate family only due to the circumstances.

Visitors will be received at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home 267 Centre St., Nutley on Sunday from 2-4 p.m.
