Madeline H. Brown, 84 of Nutley, passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at her home. Born in Belleville, the daughter of Humbert and Helen (Korczak) Castelli she lived most of her life in Belleville prior to moving to Nutley 12 years ago.
She retired as a clerk from P.S.E.&G in Newark.
Madeline is survived by her beloved husband, Charles Brown; 2 daughters, Connie Olvaney and her husband, Kevin and Lisa Brown and her fiancé, Edward O’Neill; her grandchildren, Thomas H. Ciarleglio and his wife, Samantha, Stephanie M. Limauro and her husband, Vincent, Michael C. and Megan A. Ciarleglio and her sisters, Helen Exel and Lorraine Castelli. Along with her parents, Madeline was predeceased by her brothers, Victor, Humbert Jr., and Robert Castelli.
The funeral will be Saturday at8:30 a.m. from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St., Nutley.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church in Nutley at 9:30 a.m.
The entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in No. Arlington.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 3-7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) would be appreciated.
