Obituary for Magdalena Cymbalista (Buchman)

Beloved Mother and Grandmother

Magdalena Cymbalista, 97 of Kearny, formerly of Newark, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2020. Born in Germany, Magdalena was the daughter of the late Paul and Margaret (Bleich) Buchman. She retired as a retail clerk from PathMark in Belleville.
Wife of the late Dmytro Cymbalista, Magdalena is survived by her children, Veronica Errico and her husband John, and Ted Cymbalista and his wife Gina; and two grandchildren, Eric and Dana. Along with her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Paul and George Buchman, and a sister, Katherine Henkel.

Magdalena was one tough person that never gave up. After meeting her future husband, they fled to the USA in search of a better and much safer life, leaving behind her loved family. As a single parent her dedication and devotion to her children always came first and she worked tirelessly making sure that her children were safe, had a roof over their heads, food and clothing. She gave no thoughts to her own personal life or happiness. It’s what she felt being a Mother was all about. She attended Nutley Abundant Life Worship Center in Nutley for 26 years, while also assisting in the Hearts Desire Book Store ministry.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Foundation, www.alzfdn.org/support-us/donate/ would be appreciated.
