Obituary for Margaret Gabriele (Sigaro)
Margaret Gabriele “Known as Margie” passed away peacefully to enter the presence of her Lord Jesus Christ on December 19, 2019. Margie was born Margaret Sigaro on 4/25/1931 in Newark, NJ where she lived as well in Nutley and Hillside up to the age of 20. Margie, a graduate of Central High School in Newark worked as an Accounting Assistant after graduation. She then resided in Nutley, NJ for over 60 years in the place she referred to as ‘home’. She later resided in Mahwah, NJ.
Margie was a member of Brookdale Baptist Church in Bloomfield, NJ where she worked with the Pioneer Girls ministry. She was a leader of a chapter of ‘Parents of Murdered Children’.
During her years in Nutley Margie was a devoted mother who loved to bake and spend time as a member of various bowling leagues. She raised her three children, Rosemary who predeceased her, as well as her living sons Louis Gabriele and Jeffrey Gabriele. Their wives are Sandra and Jane respectfully. Her surviving grandchildren Jeffrey Gabriele and wife Rachel, Louis Gabriele and wife Maria, Justin Gabriele and wife Bria, Sarah Wilmot (Gabriele) and husband Joseph. Stephen Gabriele and wife Katie, and Janelle Gabriele were the joys of her life. She has three wonderful Great Grandchildren Eli, Eva, and Savannah.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St., Nutley at 1 p.m.
The interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Lyndhurst.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 a.m. until service time.
