Maria Velez Garcia, 94 of West Caldwell, passed away on Sunday April 5, 2020. Born in Puerto Rico, Mrs. Garcia lived in Hoboken, Newark and Nutley before coming to West Caldwell 5 years ago. Maria was a machine operator with G & S Coat Co. in Hoboken before retiring and was a past member of the St. Anthony’s Church Seniors Club. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was predeceased by her husband, Juan Garcia, her sons, Juan Garcia, Jr. and Gilbert Garcia and her daughter, Eleanor Brush. She is survived by her daughter, Theresa Garcia and Peter Russomanno, her son-in-law, Robert Brush, her grandchildren, Ivy Lynn Pulecio, Jessica Ortiz and Joseph Russomanno and her great grandchildren, Emilie Pulecio, Donovan, Eddie, Jr., Antonio and Camila Rose Ortiz. She was predeceased by her 6 siblings.

Funeral services for Maria and entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery will be private.
