Maria LaRiccia, 92 of Bloomfield, passed away on Wednesday March 30, 2022. Born in Castelnuovo, DiConza, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Luca and Rosina (Meola) DelVecchio. Maria lived in Newark before coming to Bloomfield 45 years ago and was employed with the Prudential Insurance Co. of America in Newark before retiring. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Gennaro LaRiccia and her daughter Rosalee Tortoriello. She is survived by her children, John Joseph LaRiccia, Anna Maria LaRiccia, her son-in-law Vincent Tortoriello, her grandchildren, Gennaro Forte, Dina Forte, Jason Forte and wife Amanda, Tara Tortoriello, Vincent Tortoriello and wife, Jessica and Kayla Tortoriello. She also leaves her great grandchildren, Luca, Jaden, Ava, Angelina, Vincent James III, and Evelyn Rose.
She also leaves her sister, Gerardina Zarro, many devoted nieces and nephews, her longtime caregiver, Miledy Fernandez and was also the dear sister-in-law of Loretta LaRiccia and the late Joseph LaRiccia.

Funeral from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre Street Nutley on Monday April 4, 2022 at 9 am.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Lucy’s Church, Newark at 10 am followed by entombment at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-6 pm.
