Loving Wife, Mother, Sister, Grandmother & Great-Grandmother
Mary Scalercio, 97, lifelong resident of Belleville passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2021. Mary was the daughter of Antonio and Frances (Falcone) Perrone. She wired and soldered TVs and radios during World War II, while her husband was in the service and thereafter. She and her husband settled in Belleville and built a brick home in 1955 in which she remained throughout her years.
The beloved wife of the late Donald Scalercio, Mary is survived by her daughter, Donna M. Scalercio; 2 grandchildren, Donna Maria Paone and Vincent Vollero; 3 great-grandchildren, Jack Vollero, Natalie Paone, and Gianna Vollero; and brother Frank Perrone. She was predeceased by her brothers John, Alex, Joseph, and Louis Perrone, and sisters, Florence Martin and Sandra Mendez.
The funeral will be Friday, February 12th at 9:30am from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, (www.swbrownandson.com), 267 Centre St., Nutley.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church in Nutley at 10:30am.
The interment will follow at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Thursday, February 11th from 5-8pm.
