Obituary for Matthew G. DeVito
It is with incredible sadness that the family of Matthew G. DeVito mourn his passing on Tuesday, August 18th, 2020, at the age of 51 years old. A loving husband, father, brother and friend, he is, and will be, deeply missed.
Matt grew up in Nutley, NJ, and worked as an electrician for most of his life. He was an all-around handyman, a great cook, a lover of animals, an expert gardener, and an avid collector of unusual art and antiques.
Matt was preceded in death by his father, John, and his mother, Rosemary. He is survived by his husband Jason Dros, his daughter Zoe George-DeVito, brother John DeVito, sister-in-law Deidre DeVito, nieces Angela and Jessica as well as many cousins and many friends.
A private service is to be held, welcoming close family and friends.
