Michael W. Bucca, 80, of Nutley, formerly of Newark, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2024. Born in Newark, NJ, Michael was the son of the late Anthony and Angelina (Buccino) Bucca. He retired from Newark Housing Authority after twenty years of service. He next opened and operated a metal business for Michael Bucca Metals, LLC in Toms River, NJ with his son Michael. He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved both fishing and hunting with his children. Michael was also a racing Pigeon Fancier, also showed his pigeons. Michael is survived by his beloved wife Barbara Ann Bucca, sister in law Lily Tremari, his oldest son Michael Bucca and daughter in law Darlene, his son Matthew Bucca and daughter in law Nicole, and his daughter Malissa Bucca and son in law Artie. He is survived by his eight grandchildren Kimberly and Jake Kuzminski, Jenna and Lane DeMeo, Dillon and Maddie Muratovic, Susan Muratovic, Anthony Bucca, Dominic Bucca, Nico Adorno, and Alyssia Adorno. He was predeceased by his brother Anthony Bucca and his sister Theresa Nutile.
Visitors will be received at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St. Nutley, (www.swbrownandson.com), on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, from 4 – 8pm.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church, Newark on Thursday, April 11th at 11am.
