Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather & Great Grandfather
Michael Luongo, of Toms River, formerly of Belleville, passed away on Friday March 30, 2018. Born in Newark, he was the son of the late Angelina (Russomanno) and Leonard Luongo. Michael retired as a plant manager for CBI of Belleville. He proudly served on the Coast Guard during World War II. He is predeceased by his wife Angelina (Lee) Gengaro Luongo & his son Robert Luongo. He is survived by his sons Leonard Luongo & his wife Catherine, Michael Jr. Luongo & his wife Loretta, & his daughter-in-law Debra Luongo; his sister, Teresa Trabucco; his grandchildren, Christina Luongo Rink, Nicole Mc Conville, Leonard Jr., Michael Jr., & Dominique Luongo; and his great grandchildren, Reed, Kayla, Lucas, & Zachary.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 9:45 a.m. from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home 267 Centre St., Nutley.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church in Nutley at 10:45 a.m.
The internment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 4-8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Robert Luongo ALS Fund (32 Mapes Ave. Nutley, NJ 07110) would be preferred.
