Michael J. Trezza, 84

Loving Husband & Father, Proud Marine Veteran

Michael J. Trezza, of Belleville passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2018. Born in Jersey City, the son of the late John and Jennie (Spino) Trezza, he lived in Jersey City prior to moving to Belleville 53 years ago. Mike was a Marine Corps Veteran of the Korean War. He retired as a metallurgist from the Rolex Corporation in Hillside. For many years Mike worked as a part-time employee for S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home in Nutley.
He was a member and past Exalted Ruler of the Nutley Elks Lodge BPOE #1290, an Usher at Holy Family Church in Nutley, a former Basketball Coach at Holy Family School in Nutley, Chairman of the Youth Activities Committee at the Nutley Elks and avid New York Jets and Yankees Fan.
Mike is survived by his beloved wife Jo Ann (Longo) Trezza; his children, Maria and Michael Trezza, and his brother Louis Trezza. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Annette Hammond and her husband, Bill and Joanne Longo; his brother-in-law, Louis Scerbo and many loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Millie Rubino, Madeline Pesce and Carol Ann Scerbo.

The funeral will be Saturday at 8:30 a.m. from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St., Nutley.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church in Nutley at 9:30a.m.

The interment will follow at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 4-8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Elks Youth Activity Committee, c/o Nutley Elks Lodge No. 1290, 242 Chestnut St., Nutley, NJ 07110-2329 would be preferred.
