Michelina Volpe, 94 of Nutley, passed away on Sunday January 17, 2021 at her home. Born in Stornara, Italy, she lived in Foggia, Italy before coming to the United States and settling in Nutley in 1955. She was the daughter of the late Rocco and Anna (Sabetta) Borrelli. Michelina was employed with the Nutley Board of Education at The Franklin Junior High for many years before retiring and was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church.
Predeceased by her husband, Mike Volpe, she is survived by her loving children, Nicholas Volpe and wife, Rhonda, Michael Volpe and wife, Alessandra, and Rocco Volpe and wife Michele. She also leaves her grandchildren, Stephen, and his wife Natasha, Nicole, Christina and Allyson and great grandchildren, Francesca Michelina and Viviana Cecilia.
Michelina was the dear sister of Rosaria, Giuseppe and the late Angela, Frederico and Franco.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church in Nutley on Saturday January 23 at 11 am.
Other services and entombment will follow in Italy.

Relatives and friends will be received at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St. Nutley on Saturday from 9-10:30 am.
