Obituary for Miguel A. Arroyo

Miguel A. Arroyo, 90

Miguel A. Arroyo, of Nutley, passed away on Monday, September 17, 2018. Born in Vega Alta, Puerto Rico, the son of the late Matias and Guillermina (Pantoja) Arroyo, he lived in Puerto Rico and Newark prior to moving to Nutley 10 years ago. He served in the National Guard.
Miguel retired as a glass blower from Thompson CSF in Dumont, NJ. After his retirement, he worked as an attendant at the Newark Museum.
The beloved husband of the late Enedina Arroyo, he is survived by his children,
Carmen "Tata" Arroyo and her husband, Curtis, Evelyn Arroyo-Maultsby and her husband, Russell, Emily Arroyo-Garrett and her husband, Toy, Linda Arroyo Mariluz and her husband, Sergio, Oscar Raul Arroyo and his wife, Roselys, and Judy Bendixen and her husband, Richard; his grandchildren, Paul, Caseem, Aba, Yasin, Yaneisa, Jazmin, Tiana, Luis, Evonna, Janna, Justin, Jordan, Evan, Tyler, Ryan, Rianna, Oscelys, Oseiah; 29 Great-Grandchildren, and 5 Great-Great-Granchildren He also leaves behind his current partner of 15 years, Ana DeJesus and his former wife, Yvonne Santana.
Miguel was also predeceased by 4 children, Miguel Angel "Papo" Arroyo Jr, Javier Arroyo, Luis Arroyo, Yvonne Ruth "Babie" Arroyo and his grandson, Gibran Kalil Arroyo.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St., Nutley.

The interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in No. Arlington.

Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until service time.
