Nina Castellano, 86 of Bloomfield passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2019. Born in Newark, the daughter of Anthony and Anna (Bartalone) Sorce, she lived in Newark before moving to Bloomfield 61 years ago. Prior to her retirement Nina was a clerical worker at Newark Dye Co. in Newark.
The beloved wife of the late Joseph Castellano, Jr., she is survived by her brothers Salvatore Sorce and his wife, Joan and Joseph Sorce and his wife, Ida; her sister, Concetta “Chetty” Sorce and her sister-in-law, Marie Sorce. Along with her parents and her husband, she was also predeceased by a brother, Anthony Sorce.
The funeral will be Monday, October 7, 2019 from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St., Nutley at 8:30 a.m.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Church in Newark at 9:30 a.m.
The entombment will follow at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 1-5 p.m.
