Octavio Flores, 72 of Bloomfield, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2020. Born in Alaminos Laguna, Philippines, the son of Dominador and Agrifina (Avenido) Flores, he lived in the Philippines, Coram, Middle Village, NY, Rutherford and Lyndhurst prior to settling in Bloomfield 21 years ago. Prior to his retirement, he was a mechanical engineer and the proprietor of P.I. Mechanical in Bloomfield.
The beloved husband of the late Dr. Minda (Sahagun) Flores, he is survived by his children, Myreen Ramirez and her husband, Alvin, Oliver Flores and his wife, Mina and Myra Flores; 2 grandsons, Jon Ramirez and Owen Flores and a sister, Azucena Villanueva.
The funeral will be Wednesday, February 5, 2020 from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St., Nutley at 8:30 a.m.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Bloomfield at 9:30 a.m.
The interment will be held at Alaminos Cemetery in Alaminos, Philippines.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5-9 p.m.
