Pablo D. Cabrera, of Newark, passed away on Friday, August 24, 2018 at his home. Born in Esperanza, Cuba, the son of the late Eladio and Sixta (Alvarez) Cabrera, he lived in Cuba prior to moving to Newark 61 years ago. He retired from Edison Plastics in So. Plainfield.
Pablo is survived by his beloved wife, Rita O. (Diaz) Cabrera; his daughter, Helen Gil and her husband Jesus; 6 grandchildren, Damian Gil, Samantha LeMay, Natalie Gil, Andres Cabrera, Emily and Nicholas Newman, and 6 grandchildren, David, Dylan, Damian, Madison, Liam and Quinn.
He also leaves his daughter-in-law, Joanne Cabrera. Pablo was predeceased by his son, Pablo Cabrera, Jr and 6 sisters and brothers.

Friends and relatives will be received at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home 267 Centre St., Nutley for a Celebration of Life on Sunday from 2-5 p.m.

The cremation services will be private.
