If my memory is correct, I was 15 years old when I first met Desi in the summer of 1971. We would ride bikes, play baseball in Boy's Park, and sing Oldies in "Naughton's Fort". A few years later, we would drive around town in my car during the day, and play shuffleboard at the Nutley Pub at night. Whenever I bumped into Desi over the past 40+ years, he always reminded me of this memory. One time, we were both on my bike riding down the hill of Sheppard's Place. He was in the front. For reasons unknown, we both stopped steering and naturally wiped out. Then we would laugh.

Des, so happy we were able to reconnect again on Facebook. I will always cherish them many fun times we shared. Hey, remember when you backed into my car at the Hess station lol. Anybody else but you, could never be mad at you. Truly one of the sweetest, most kind hearted people that I was lucky to call friend. Rest In Peace with your Love, Patsy. Love you Cheryl

Des, you are one of the great ones. I’ll always remember all the great times we shared. From working nights together at the Hess station all those years ago to singing with the Drifters to the most recent crabbing trips and outings to Wolfgang’s. The group will not be the same without you. We all take solace in the fact that you are reunited with your Patsy. Rest In Peace my freind. Love you, Gabe.

Lot a years. It's hard to capture all the great memories we've shared for over 50 years. From the early years playing baseball and football in the park or wiffle ball at the Masonic, to going down the shore and crabbing with my dad. Although the actual crabbing may have stopped the gatherings with our great group of friends continues. You will be missed my friend. Love you
