Obituary for Paul J. "Desi" Desmarais
Loving Husband, Brother, and Uncle
Paul “Desi” J. Desmarais, 63 of Beachwood, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2019. Born in Passaic, the son of the late Paul Jean Sr., and Carolyn Mae (Weischedel) Desmarais, he lived most of his life in Nutley and Bellville prior to moving to Beachwood 2 years ago. Paul studied at William Paterson University and was a programmer for AT&T of Clifton. He was an avid NY Yankees, NY Giants, and Kansas City Chiefs fan who loved the oldies and singing karaoke. He also played softball for Yesterday’s Charity softball team and enjoyed horseracing in his free time.
The beloved husband of the late Patricia (Moraski) Desmarais, he is survived by his sister, Gail A. Simone; and his nieces, Tracy Lynn Sanders, Dawn Colli, Christy DeVito, Melinda Musse, Amanda Ottalagano, Samantha O’Halloran, Kelly O’Halloran, Ashley Moraski and Cybil Smolls.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, November 4, 2019 at 11 am from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St., Nutley.
The interment will follow at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-5 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society P.O. Box 22478 Oklahoma City, OK 73123, would be preferred.
